Kiratharjuniyam Verse 5

वनेचर: आह –
स कींसखा साधु न शास्ति योsधिपं हितान्न य: संशृणुते स कींप्रभु:।
सदानुकूलेषु हि कुर्वते रतिं नृपेष्वमात्येषु च सर्वसंपद: ।।५।।
स कींसखा साधु न शास्ति य: अधिपं हितान् न य: संशृणुते सः कींप्रभु: सदा अनुकूलेषु हि कुर्वते रतिं नृपेषु अमात्येषु च सर्वसंपद: ।
य: अधिपं सदा  हितान् न शास्ति , स: कींसखा । य: सदा न संशृणुते, स: कींप्रभु: । सर्वसंपद: अनुकूलेषु नृपेषु अमात्येषु च रतिं हि कुर्वते ।

कींसखा – an incompetent advisor / useless minister / crooked friend

रतिं कुर्वते – get attached to

Gist in English
The tribal said –
An incapable minister is one who doesn’t advise his king appropriately in all matters of state.  A foolish leader is one who doesn’t listen to the advice of a true friend.  When both kings and ministers are on good terms, they are both showered with prosperity.
